For Sale: 1986 Catalina 27 Tall Rig
$12,000
After four fun summers sailing on Lake Michigan with me, it's time for Out 'n About to find her new owner! She is a 1986 Catalina 27 Tall Rig in great shape for her age, sailed exclusively in freshwater (out of Chicago and Michigan City). The Catalina 27 is a very popular entry-level daysailer or coastal cruiser.
Description: Well-maintained by current and previous owners. Perfect for coastal cruising on Lake Michigan for one or two (and perhaps a dog) or just used as a floating condo for easy lake access. The V-berth sleeps one or two comfortably. There is also a quarter berth, and the starboard settee converts to a third sleeping area. Interested parties should contact me (Diane) at 908-392-4474.

Nice-to-have additions: Cabin comes with a mounted TV (with HDMI cable & flat antenna) and a microwave. There is a stereo system connected to cabin and cockpit speakers that runs off of DC for listening to tunes underway.
Known fixes needed: (1) One of the stern starboard stanchions has been a little loose since I bought it. I rebedded the cleat just aft of it but have not had time to work on the stanchion itself, so I recommend rebedding. (2) The boat came with a custom cradle and I had it transported from Chicago to Michigan City, but it appears it needs some fixing before it is able to be used (according to the boat yard - I haven't taken a close look). It is available at Trail Creek Marina.
